This special fishing pier is constructed using wooden stakes which trap fish while letting water pass through. This is the only place in Ibaraki where visitors can catch ayu (sweetfish) as well as barbecue their freshly caught fish.

There is also a restaurant offering fresh sweetfish dishes located near the pier.
