Hagiya Ryokan Inn (Hitachi City)
This traditional Japanese-style inn boasts a great location right on Ibaraki’s Pacific Coast which provides the ethos for their hospitality as a whole.
The inn’s guest rooms offer stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, and the on-site hot spring baths have added seawater and seaweed. Furthermore, the inn’s restaurant serves seasonal, local seafood, and the menu as a whole focuses on slow-food style ‘local production, local consumption’. During the Winter months, the menu also includes anglerfish hotpot, a regional speciality of the Ibaraki area.
There’s no need to book an overnight stay to enjoy everything Hagiya has to offer – visitors to the area can make use of a day plan with a meal and visit to the hot springs included.
