Kanasaan Soba Noodles (Hitachiota City)

Located next door to Kanasa no Yu hot spring bath house, this soba noodle restaurant offers a range of noodle dishes made with local buckwheat flour.

Kanasa-an’s soba noodles are made fresh from scratch everyday by grinding buckwheat flour with a stone mill, hand kneading the noodles and cooking them on an order-by-order basis. The noodles are cooked in natural spring water from the Nishi-Kanasago area, which is said to be beneficial for the skin. Dishes also feature plenty of fresh, locally grown vegetables.
