Oarai Beach (Oarai Town)
Oarai Beach is one of two beaches in Oarai. While Sunbeach is a sandy beach, Oarai is a pebble beach with rocky outcrops in the sea. As well as swimming during the Summer, Oarai Beach attracts visitors who come to explore the area’s rock pools and look for marine life like hermit crabs and crabs.
Oarai Beach is also home to the stunning floating shrine gate, Kamiiso no Tori, and is just a few minutes’ walk from Oarai Isosaki Shrine, seafood restaurants and beachside hotels. Aquaworld Aquarium is just a short drive or 20 minute walk from Oarai Beach.
