Closures & Suspensions following Typhoon Hagibis
JR Suigun Line suspended to all stations north of Hitachiomiya

We thank everyone for their messages of support following Typhoon Hagibis on October 12th. The worst affected areas are just now beginning the process of recovery. However, most tourist attractions in Ibaraki are operating as normal and we encourage people to continue with their plans to visit the area. Autumn is a great time to visit Ibaraki and see the famous Autumn leaves so make sure not to miss out!
The following information details suspensions and closures within Ibaraki Prefecture.

The JR Suigun Line is suspended to all stations north of Hitachiomiya. Suigun Line trains are running as normal between Mito – Hitachiomiya and on the Kami-Sugaya – Hitachiota branch line.
Fukuroda Falls, Tsukimachi Falls and other hotels and onsen in the northern Ibaraki area cannot be accessed from Fukuroda or Hitachi-Daigo Stations. Buses and taxis in the area are running as normal. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
