In November 2019, Tsukuba Kasumigaura Ring Ring Road was selected as one of Japan’s world class cycle networks and one of the country’s first National Cycle Routes alongside Biwaichi in Shiga Prefecture and Shimanamikaido in Hiroshima and Aichi Prefectures. The cycle paths and infrastructure, safe cycling policies and all-round smooth travel experience whether you’re a renting a bike or bringing your own make Ring Ring Road the perfect environment for a great cycling experience.

A must-visit for all cyclists, Ring Ring Square Tsuchiura is located inside the PLAYatre shopping centre, directly connected to Tsuchiura Station. Ring Ring Square is a one-stop shop for cyclists arriving by train – set up your bike or collect your pre-booked rental cycle, choose your route and you’re ready to go!
What’s more, a new hotel aimed at cyclists, Hoshino Resort BEB5 Tsuchiura will also open inside PLAYatre on March 19th 2020!
